After the win against Rennes. Chelsea star, Recce James was given a 2 match ban. This decision comes as the results of an investigation made by UEFA who said that the youngster used “abusive language” at Referee Jesus Gil Manzano who is from Spain.

The incident between James and referee Gil Manzano was being investigated after a report by the referee that James used abusive words on him warranting the ban on James from UEFA. However, this ban will only affect his national team side which is the three lions of England. As such he will be allowed to carry out his club duty in Europe with any instructions.

Due to this ban, James will not be available for selection for the three lions during the next international break.
