Helen Prest, a widow of the late Dr. Tosin Ajayi, founder of First Foundation Medical Centre, has apologized to his departed soul over the drama that ensued at his funeral.
Helen Prest and other family members of the Ajayi family had been at loggerhead at the burial over who would cast the first soil.
The graveside almost turned to a wrestling ring but for the intervention of the pastors, some concerned friends and then, Dr Ajayi’s relatives, who were said to have been at loggerheads with Helen.
The remains of the founder of First Foundation hospital were interred last Thursday At the Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi amidst drama among the deceased’s first but estranged wife, his second wife, Helen Prest-Ajayi and five older children from his first marriage to Mrs Adenike Oluyemisi Ajayi
Helen Prest-Ajayi writes:
“Saying our last goodbyes to my dearest kind, humble, wise, caring, loving, intellectually brilliant, generous, charming, fun loving husband. He was a doting father to our children, an icon in the medical field and a huge philanthropist.
Adieu ‘Doc” dearest I ‘apolo’ for everything you have been put through, but God took control to help me give you a befitting and honorable burial. You are heaven’s gain and have gone forth to meet our deceased children Taiwo and Oluwatosin junior Idowu Ajayi – rest on in peace my love. ??✝️ “
Ajayi died I April 2020 but his kids dragged his wife, Helen Prest to court and stalled all burial plans.
