Chris Brown, the Grammy-winning singer, has taken a swipe at Kanye West for allegedly removing his verse from his recently released ‘Donda‘ album.
Yesterday, West finally came through with the highly-anticipated 27-track album after teasing the project for weeks.
But shortly after ‘Donda’ release, Brown had taken to his Instagram stories to call out Kanye West.
“Kanye a whole h*e,” he had written in the terse post which has now been deleted.
In another follow-up cryptic post, the ‘Say Goodbye’ crooner added “Nah he tweakin.”
Although Brown did not go into details of what informed his post, The Shade Room, citing sources, said the singer’s rant followed the removal of his verse from West’s album.
It is understood that Brown was originally scheduled to feature on ‘New Again’, the 18th track off the album.
However, when the project — which is Kanwe West’s 10th studio album — was eventually released, Brown’s verse was not included in the song.
The development, according to The Shade Room, had left Brown “a little heated”, prompting his reaction on social media.
According to the lyrics of the song posted on Genius, West is listed as the vocalist in the intro, verse one, and pre-chorus.
Brown and West were also both credited as performers for the chorus.
‘Thank you, thank you, thank you for your mercy, make me new – Make me new again, make me new again – Make me new again, make me new again,’ it reads in the chorus, which like most choruses is beefed up with added sining tracks,” the song’s original chorus lyrics read.
“I repent for everything that I’ma do again – Make me new again, make me new again – Make me new again.”
