In a statement on Wednesday, Taofik Gani, the publicity secretary of the party in the state, said Dominic Adegbola died of COVID-19 complications.
He described the late party chairman as a grassroots politician who stood for the development of the state.
“The late senior medical practitioner has been an exceptional politician who had deployed much of his hard earned money into philantropism. He was the Medical Director of Santa Maria Hospital,” Gani said.
Gani added that burial arrangements for the deceased will be announced by the family.
