‘Omo Ghetto: The Saga‘, a movie by Funke Akindele, has been named Africa’s highest-grossing title at the 2020/21 META Cinema Conference.
FilmOne, the film entertainment company that co-produced the gangster comedy, announced the feat via its Instagram page.

It stars Funke Akindele, Chioma Akpota, Nancy Isime, Eniola Badmus, Bimbo Thomas, Deyemi Okanlawon, and Mercy Aigbe.
The film had its theatrical release on December 25, 2020, and received positive reviews from critics.
It became a box office success, surpassing ‘Fate of Alakada’ as the highest-grossing Nigerian film for the year 2020.
