Bandits kill APC ward chairman Illiya Auta in Kaduna a month after his wedding
TSB News reports that Bandits attacked some villages in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Aribi award, Mr Illiya Auta and other residents.
It was gathered that the bandits who stormed the village on Monday night, April 25, also abducted some residents and rustled hundreds of animals.
Sources could not confirm how many people were killed during the attack but one of the victims was an APC stalwart in Aribi Ward.
“We lost our ward Chairman, Illiya Auta who was killed by the bandits during the raid,” a source said.
According to a post by one Darius Kurah, the deceased chairman, who was a former PDP Publicity Secretary in Aribi ward, got married on March 27, 2022.
The Executive Chairman of Kagarko Local Government Area, Hon. Nasara Auza Rabo Pmape, also confirmed the murder of Mr. Iliya Auta and others.
Pmape on behalf of LGA Council sent heartfelt condolences to their immediate families, Aribi Community and the LGA at large and prayed that God Almighty will comfort their families.
He called on all media activities to be temporarily suspended to enable them pay final respect to the departed souls.
