One of the hottest things in world football, Erling Haaland, is reportedly set to join Manchester City in the next transfer window after agreeing to personal terms.
It has long been speculated that Haaland may not return to Borussia Dortmund for another season, with an exciting Bundesliga club from some of the biggest clubs in the world.
Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have been regarded as Manchester City’s biggest signings of the Norwegian striker, but a major contract, recent success, and a close relationship with his father seem to be the deciding factor.
The Daily Mail reports that Haaland has agreed on a deal with Manchester City that will make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League for £ 500,000 a week.
Under the terms of the agreement, City is expected to open a £ 62.2million (€ 75m) release to Haaland and sign a five-year contract, which could be announced next week.
His father, Alf-Inge Haaland, played for Manchester City from 2000-to 2003 and is said to have been “heavily involved in negotiations”.
