How APC ward chairman, Bunmi Ipinnaiye, commits suicide in Kogi
The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ponyan Ward in the Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, Bunmi Ipinnaiye, has reportedly committed suicide in a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) cell.
Ipinnaiye was arrested by men of the NSCDC for the attempted murder of his son who he allegedly attacked with a machete while on their way to the farm.
The deceased had reportedly attacked his son for fraternising with some boys who were allegedly involved in social vices.
He was arrested following the attack and was found dead in his cell this morning, June 7.
He reportedly used his belt to hang himself.
The body of the deceased was found by NSCDC operatives who went into his cell to interrogate him.
