Female OAP, Zainab Fakunle, sacked because she can’t pronounce letter ‘R’ properly, lands bigger job
A Nigerian lady named Zainab Fakunle who worked at a radio station cried out weeks ago after her employer sacked her for having the R factor while pronouncing words.
‘R’ factor or Rhotacisom is a speech impediment whereby one is unable to pronounce the letter “R” properly.
Zainab is in a celebratory mood because she has landed a new job with the biggest radio station in the region.
Taking to her Twitter page, she recounted being sacked from her radio job as an OAP because her employers were not comfortable with her pronunciation defect.
She also gave thanks that she has landed another one just before Eid-el-Kabir.
Zainab wrote; ”I was crushed, I stood up for myself, yet I got knocked by many people, but I was undeterred and finally God in his mercies have vindicated me!
I got a new job! Yesss with the biggest radio brand in the Southwest FRESH FM LAGOS, FRESH FM NIGERIA.
I lost my job when Ramadan was about to end and I got a BETTER one before EID-KABIR.
God finally vindicated me
I won’t take this love for granted to all Radio stations, TV stations, bloggers, family & friends I can’t thank you enough.”
