Man cries out as ‘robbers’ pushed his wife out of moving bus in Lagos
A Twitter user has raised alarm over his wife’s health after she was said to have been pushed out of a moving minibus in Lagos.
In a lengthy thread calling the attention of the Lagos government to the “high-level kidnapping and robbery” going on in parts of the state, the man shared pictures of his injured wife covered in blood-stained gauze and plaster.
He said his wife had boarded the bus around Sandfill in Victoria Island, Lagos on Tuesday but sensed something was suspicious about the other passengers on the bus.
He disclosed that the victim refused to have the door shut so as to ensure her safety but one of the passengers pushed her out of the bus.
The Twitter user said passersby and security operatives helped his wife to the hospital where she is being treated.
“The level of arm robbery and kidnapping going on in Lagos is scary,” the man wrote.
“My [wife] boarded a minibus from Sandfill. On entering the bus she sensed something wasn’t right. She asked the driver to drop her [off]. He refused but rather increased the speed.
