Buhari’s Aide, Bashir Ahmad, compares redesigned naira notes to old ₦50 ₦20 and ₦10 notes
Bashir Ahmad, the aide to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Communications, has compared the newly redesigned Naira notes to old Naira notes that have been phased out.
After the new 200, 500, and 1,000 Naira notes were unveiled today by Buhari, Bashir Ahmad juxtaposed photos of the new notes with old 10, 20, and 50 Naira notes.
Highlighting the similarities, he wrote: “Good to see our 10, 20, 50 old notes back.”
Many Nigerians have expressed their disappointment with the new notes, with many pointing out that the only thing that was changed is the colour.
