Bishop Oyedepo Narrates How One Of His Former Pastors Tried To Scatter His Church
Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church, narrated what a former pastor did to try to scatter his church.
He shared this story during the period he was giving an exhortation to the new leaders about to be inaugurated in the church.
He started by declaring that anyone who would should serve God should serve God with a clear conscience. He explained that serving God requires faithfulness, and anyone who cannot be faithful in service will not receive any reward from God.
Serving God is not be force. And if you serve God without a clear conscience, it will not deliver,” he said.
The Bishop began to lament that some church members don’t serve God with a clear conscience. He explained that some people in the church have done some terrible things, and as such, not everyone that comes to church is on the Lord’s side.
Not everyone that comes to church is on the Lord’s side. Some have done some things that we cannot even come out to say in the open,” he lamented.
He went on to give an example. He narrated that one of his pastors, who was no longer with them, was going behind to tell people to leave the church, in a bid to scatter the church.
“We had one of our pastors, who was going behind to tell other people what are you still doing in this church? Won’t you leave? If you are not actively gathering with God, you are scattering. Some people can be very active on the outside, but with a very dirty heart on the inside,” he said.
