Pandemonium as fire breaks out during wedding reception in Lagos (Video)
What should have ordinarily been a day of joy and merriment turned into a moment of sadness and disaster after fire guts an event centre while a wedding reception was underway in Lagos.
The breakout of fire at the venue brought the wedding reception on Saturday to an abrupt end.
The wedding reception was underway at Yard 158, an event center in Oregun, Lagos, when the unthinkable happened.
It’s gathered that the fire started while the pyrotechnicians were trying to thrill the guests when it was time to toast.
They lit the firecrackers but the ensuing sparks caught one of the inflammable fabrics used for interior decorations and before long the fire spread to other parts of the hall
Guests tried to put off the fire but it spread quickly.
However, no one was hurt in the fire incident as the couple and guests were quickly led out of the hall to a safe place.
