Dineo Ranaka-Pesha (born 16 December 1983 in Soweto, Johannesburg) is a South African radio Dis Jockey and reality tv pageant. She is 39 years old.
Career
She kicked off her radio career as a trainee at 5fm and later moved to Yfm where she worked as a radio producer. Later, she co-hosted the ‘Essential Rush, a popular afternoon drive radio show.
She walked into the spotlight for her show Dineo Live on Drive and rose to prominence in the country.
She was a co-host a music show on e.TV Club 808 alongside Moeti ‘Mo Flava’ Tsiki. Together they did prime rime radio and television at the same time.

Dineo also presented on All Access and hosted a music game show on e.tv. She also appeared on television serials including Gazlam, Gomora. and Scandal.
After she left Yfm, she returned on radio as the host of Highveld Stereo, a weekend show.
She joined Cliff Central, an internet radio station though she did not spend much time with the radio station.
Dineo currently hosts the mid-morning show on Metro FM The Bridge, alongside Somizi and Lerato Kganyago. For two years, she was the host of the Top 40 chart show on Metro FM.
She also had a reality show dubbed Dineo’s Diary, it ran for five seasons.
As a producer, she is the brain behind the spin-off of her reality show The Ranakas. In the show, her entire family is featured including herself.
She also appeared on the Baby Mamas, a local movie, and portrayed as Joy.
Dineo is also a host on a Yim’lo, on Mzansi Magic. She announced her intention as a House and Hip Hop Disk Jockey in 2019.
In the following year, she produced Mzali Wami, through her production company. As a businessperson, she launched her cosmetic range LurDrBeauty in December 2020.
Battle with suicidal thoughts
South African stars have showered Dineo Ranaka with support after she revealed she was battling suicidal thoughts.
The media personality shot up trends lists on Tuesday after she shared her struggles with mental health.“I completely understand souls, spirits people that commit suicide. I get it. I get them. Because I’m trying my best not. My mind is so loud of late and life is f*cking hard. So hard. And I’m trying my best but it seems my best is not enough. My children, my God,” she wrote.

She hails from a family that is in the spotlight. She has siblings including Ranaka Manaka, the older sibling who is also an actress and appeared on several dramas in a starring role.
The second-born child is Mpumi Ranaka. She is a writer and homemaker. Ranaka Ranaka is the lastborn child of their family. He is popular being a Disk Jockey and event organizer. Ziggy Ranaka is the oldest son and a successful entrepreneur. The name of her mother is Mama Siba Ranaka.

Marriage
Dineo Ranaka was married to Mr. Pesha. The couple exchanged their marital vows in a secret wedding in 2020 but separated in 2022.
Dineo Ranaka’s pending divorce from her ex-husband Klaas Pesha has taken an ugly turn. Since he hit her with a half a million rand lawsuit for allegedly “fabricating” assault allegations against him.
Her ex-husband, Klaas Pesha who is a businessman and engineer has Ranaka’s claims scrapped. As well as to withdraw the allegations. Klaas also wants an apology as the abuse allegations have damaged his reputation.
Pesha said he and Ranaka’s legion of fans, friends and family who were on her contact lists when she posted the messages understood the statements to mean that he was an abuser.
He also said the statements or statuses posted by Ranaka are false, malicious and defamatory and challenge his character, reputation and dignity.
The ex-husband says that Ranaka made the statements maliciously, knowing that they were false because he was never arrested and charged for assaulting her.
In her plea, Ranaka insisted Pesha assaulted her. She said she wanted to open a case of assault against him but he threatened to press a countercharge.
