Jamie Foxx makes first public appearance, months after health scare
Popular American actor, Jamie Foxx, was spotted by fans during a boat cruise in Chicago on Sunday.
In videos making rounds on the Internet, the actor was seen waving at fans who cheered as he drove past in a speed boat.
The public sighting is his first, following a medical emergency in April which kept him hospitalised for weeks.
Foxx was shooting on the set of “Back in Action”, with co-star, Cameron Diaz when he was rushed to the hospital.
While his family and friends kept the details of his condition a secret, they sought prayers from well-wishers. Fans got more agitated when a report went viral in May, suggesting that Jamie’s family members were preparing for the worst as his health had turned critical.
However, Foxx’s daughter, Corrinne came out to debunk the rumours, stating that the 55-year-old returned home from the hospital weeks after hospitalisation and was in good health.
She also revealed that the TV personality was fit to resume work, and announced the scheduled launch of their new game show, “We Are Family”.
Asides from gratitude messages to fans on his social media pages, the actor is yet to officially address the health issue himself.
