Phyna Reacts to Reports of Allegedly Abandoning Her Father
In response to reports suggesting that she abandoned her father, Ijeoma Otabor, better known as Phyna and the winner of Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up,’ has spoken out.
The reality star’s father had shared his experience in an interview with Vanguard, detailing how he felt abandoned by his daughter since her victory on the show. He mentioned that Phyna had made promises of a brighter future for their family with her newfound success but had not fulfilled them.
Phyna, now addressing the situation, expressed her frustration with Vanguard Newspaper for incessantly contacting her via texts and calls and asking intrusive questions.
She recounted an incident when she mistakenly answered a call from one of their numbers, and the individual immediately began probing her with questions. She terminated the call, and the person sent an apology text. Phyna is considering taking legal action against Vanguard for their behavior.
It’s worth noting that in November of the previous year, Phyna had gifted her father a brand new SUV, a gesture that her proud father greatly appreciated.
In a recent interview with media personality Nancy Isime, Phyna revealed details of her challenging childhood. She disclosed that she had worked at a restaurant at the tender age of three, serving customers, and that her life took a challenging turn when her father had a serious accident, leading her to care for him in the hospital for two years, ultimately resulting in her dropping out of school.
