Saka reacts as Odegaard replaces him as Arsenal’s highest-paid player
Arsenal winger, Bukayo Saka, has spoken about his delight at Martin Odegaard’s decision to commit his long-term future to Arsenal, making him the club’s highest earner.
Odegaard has penned a deal that will tie him to Arsenal until 2028 and he is now the club’s highest earner, surpassing Saka
Responding to the former Real Madrid playmaker’s decision, Saka said: ‘He’s really important, not just as a player, as a leader as well.
‘He leads in a different way but I love it and respect it. We all know he’s got unbelievable quality, creating goals and scoring goals and being the captain that we all love.
‘I don’t mind being stuck with him! I’m happy for him and he deserves the new contract.’
Odegaard, himself, is delighted to have resolved his future having found his home after the early stages of his career were characterised by a series of destabilising loan moves.
