Rapper Oladips passes on after two years battle with himself

Indigenous Nigerian rapper, Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, is dead. The sad news was announced on his Instagram page moments ago by his family.

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday NOV 14th Tuesday evening at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak!

For over 2 years he has kept his battles to himself, his body is now with his family, and funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded. The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss, amen.” the family announced

Interestingly, Oladips sent out scary messages on his Instagram stories before his death.

In the post, he mentioned one of his friends, @onlyonelifetime, and asked where he was. The rapper complained about how he had tried to reach the friend on the phone several times and how they knew he didn’t like to be left alone in the house, especially with his condition.

What followed next was a video of Oladips slumped inside a car and his friends in panic.

It lead to talk about ‘PR’ from cynical fans, who have since realized the gravity of his situation.

All of this brings back memories of Promise Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad (Imole), who died on September 12.
