El-Rufai’s son blast Gov Sani over $587m, N85bn debt claim
Bashir, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, has leveled accusations against Governor Uba Sani, alleging neglect of duties within the state.
He criticizes Sani for frequently retreating to Abuja and surrounding himself with inept aides.
In response to claims by Governor Sani regarding a significant debt burden inherited from the previous administration, Bashir asserts that Sani’s administration is attempting to deflect from its own incompetence. He highlights the irony of Sani’s complaints about inherited debts, considering his previous role as a senator who lobbied for and approved such loans.
Moreover, Bashir questions the priorities of the current administration, pointing out extravagant spending on projects like a banquet hall worth billions of naira while lamenting over debt concerns. These criticisms come amidst growing concerns over governance and fiscal management in Kaduna State.
