Popular media personality, Toke Makinwa, has revealed reason why she tore all her prayer requests, which were written with the faith of being answered by God.
Toke Makinwa, known to be a fashionista, took to her X page, revealing that people get obsessed with God’s answers too much.
She, however, make instances with late CEO of Access bank, Herbert Wigwe, who died in an autocrash together with his son and wife.
According to Toke, People still get hurt and die regardless of their prayer requests to God, asserting that life will happen as it’s been programmed to happen.
She wrote, “I have missed Xing, took a little break cos this year has been heavy. The Wigwe family tragedy has me questioning my faith and let’s just say I’m trying to find myself outside of work life. Life truly is meaningless. Sighhhh.”
“I know God is real but I struggle to understand why there is so much pain in the world, why good people die, why death has to be so excruciating, why does it seem like when you’re about to enjoy life, something goes wrong? Why do kids/young people die? Why were they born sef?”
“Today I woke up and tore up all my prayer requests, cos the people that have tragedy befall them are not God’s enemies. I have realized he owes us nothing. Good and bad happens to all. Just do your own bit and relax, life has already been programmed to happen how it will. ❤️”.
“I think prayer is more for us than anything else. I don’t have all the answers but I know after all the pain , heaven better be sure cos I will throw hands 😂😂😂.”
“Pls don’t misquote my tweet, I’m not saying God doesn’t change things or prayer isn’t good, I tore up my prayer requests cos we are often obsessed with what we want God to do next that we do not live in the moment good/bad which could possibly be our last.”
“The people who misfortune happen to also are loved by God. They also pray, they also believe too. Life will happen as it’s been programmed to happen.”
