Mavin Records boss Michael Collins Ajereh better known as Don Jazzy has taken to social media to react after Wizkid refers to him as an influencer after 20 years in the industry.
It all started after Mavin Records signee Ladipoe mocked Wizkid for his controversial “hip hop is dead” statement.
According to him, Afrobeats artistes are going through struggles at the moment while rap music genre has overcome the storm.
Ladipoe wrote; “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”
Reacting a fan called on Wizkid attention to the Ladipoe comment about Aforbeats, telling Wizkid to give a savage response.
The fan identified as @miracledc12 wrote; “Wizkid, Ladipoe still talk nonsense yesterday o, abeg enter that one too.”
Wizkid said, he can’t have a conversation with someone like Ladipoe who is signed under an influencer.
Wizkid also reposted some tweets throwing shades at Don Jazzy and Ladipoe together. See below;
This statement by Wizkid did not go down well with Don Jazzy who is renowned as a multifaceted music producer, and vocalist.
Beyond his creative prowess, Don Jazzy is recognized for his philanthropic endeavors, spanning from generous giveaways to championing emerging talents and fostering the careers of aspiring artists through signings and promotions.
