Since president Tinubu signed the changing of the National Anthem, students, teachers, and corpers have been battling to sing the the old anthem.
Many Nigerians have wondered why the government would change the national anthem and if it is important at this stage in the country but that is not for us to decide.
Watch video of Nigerian students singing the former anthem in a school below:
In order for you not to chew your mouth while in public gathering, TSB NEWS is here to give you the lyrics of the current anthem.
Enjoy it.
Nigeria we hail thee,
Our own dear native land,
Though tribe and tongue may differ,
In brotherhood we stand,
Nigerians all, and proud to serve
Our sovereign Motherland.
Our flag shall be a symbol
That truth and justice reign,
In peace or battle honour’d,
And this we count as gain,
To hand on to our children
A banner without stain.
O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty
Nigeria may be blessed.
