Saida Boj, the influencer whose real name is Sarah Idaji Ojone, has been the centre of attention on social media following her controversial opinions about dating and sex.
On May 27, Saida was featured on The Honest Bunch podcast hosted by Nedu Wazobia, the on-air personality (OAP).
During the interview, she said she deserves to be paid for being “beautiful”. She said any man who gives her N20 million can “explore” any part of her body.
She also recalled her encounter with a married man who had money but “used” her. Saida said she “regrets the experience so badly”.
Saida described men as “cheap”, adding that she is “always happy” when women divorce their husbands after a failed marriage.
“My talking stage no dey last more than one day. If you dey talk to me for morning, I dey bill you for evening and if you no fit, you go,” she said in pidgin English.
“I do not have time. Life is stressing me already, do not come and add to my own. Men go make your eyes red. Some girls are understanding but that man will see you like a stupid person.
“As a lady, 24 hours after a man takes your number, you should bill him to know if he is capable unless you are wasting your time.
“You should pay me for being beautiful, do you know how much skincare cost? You should give me at least N500,000.
“If you can spend up to N20 million a week, you can go through anywhere in my body. N20 million, N50 million, that is money. If you cannot spend up to N500,000, you do not deserve my WhatsApp number.”
Saida’s remarks have since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with users expressing their differing opinions.
WHO IS SAIDA BOJ?
Saida was born on September 4, 2001, in Agbor, Delta state. Her father is from the Igala ethnic group in Kogi, while her mother is from Edo state. She is the eldest of four siblings.
The 22-year-old is a graduate of The American University of Nigeria, Yola, Adamawa state, where she studied Mass Communication.
The Abuja-based influencer began her career as a content creator. She gained fame after Tunde Ednut, the Instagram blogger, shared her videos on his page. Videos of her old skits also surfaced online after her controversial interview.
Saida previously revealed that her dream is to become an actress but breaking into the movie industry has been challenging.
Saida’s remarks about dating and sex have continued to trigger a wave of varying reactions from some Nigerians online.
While some users heavily criticised the influencer for making unrealistic demands and misleading young women, others defended her freedom of expression.
Seun Kuti, Erigga, and Dat Warri Girl are among the celebrities who have weighed in on the matter.
Seun said Saida’s critics are “hypocrites” who are jealous of the influencer for openly expressing her desires.
Erigga called her a “prostitute” while Dat Warri Girl slammed Saida for “dressing tacky” despite demanding huge amounts of money from men.
Subsequently, Saida’s TikTok page, which had over a million followers, was banned.
Her Instagram and Facebook accounts were also taken down after her content was flagged as inappropriate.
Saida, however, created another social media account and posted a video, slamming her critics for reporting her page.
“You are happy that they suspended my account but I will open another one. No amount of hate will ever make me change what I said. I said it and will say it again,” she said on Instagram.
