Popular Nigerian actor Williams Uchemba has advised women to stop asking men for things they cannot afford themselves.
In a video shared on August 14, Uchemba highlighted how this mindset affects relationships.
He emphasized that a man is unlikely to marry a woman who consistently makes such demands. He praised his wife for only requesting what the family needs, which earns her his full attention.
“There’s a mentality crippling women today. When you say there’s no husband, this is why. Asking for things you can’t afford, even after working for ten years, is not right,” he said.
Uchemba also pointed out that asking for luxury items, like a G-Wagon or the latest iPhone, when you can’t even afford an older model, is a sign of greed. He warned that this mentality could prevent women from getting married.
For married women, Uchemba advised that requests should be made as appeals, not demands.
