Nollywood actress and politician Tonto Dikeh has addressed recent rumors about her alleged arrest and detention.
In a statement on Instagram, Dikeh firmly denied these claims, asserting that she has not been arrested or held by any law enforcement agency in Nigeria.
Dikeh clarified that she is currently at home, enjoying the blessings of God. She emphasized her commitment to the law and her role as a diplomatic member, distinguishing between supporting law enforcement and engaging in criminal activities.
She stated, “Let me be clear, I was not arrested or detained by any law enforcement agency. I am simply at home, enjoying the goodness of God. As a law-abiding citizen and a member of the diplomatic community, I strive to live ethically and cannot be involved in criminal activities.”
Dikeh also announced plans to take legal action against those spreading false information about her, declaring, “I will not hesitate to defend myself against defamation and false narratives.”
Expressing sarcastic gratitude to those behind the rumors, she added, “Thank you for your efforts, but they have been unsuccessful. God bless.”
