Popular Nigerian social media personality and cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky, has filed a N1 billion lawsuit against internet activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan (VDM), over defamation.
The legal battle ignited after VDM shared a voice recording online, alleging that it was Bobrisky claiming to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million to have money laundering charges against him dropped.
Bobrisky has strongly denied the allegations, asserting that the voice recordings were artificially generated using AI technology to falsely implicate him in criminal activities.
In a bold move, Bobrisky shared a letter from his legal team on social media, confirming that he has sued VDM for N1 billion in damages. He also demanded a written and video-recorded apology from VDM within 24 hours.
