Nollywood star and political figure Kenneth Okonkwo has strongly criticized Nigerians who are now paying up to N1000 per litre for fuel.
In a recent Instagram post, Okonkwo expressed frustration, pointing out the irony that those who once protested against a fuel price increase to N140 per litre during ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in 2012 are now facing even higher costs.
He wrote: “It’s astonishing that Nigerians who once protested against N140 per litre at Ojota are now paying N1000 per litre, enduring long queues under the same leadership.”
Okonkwo’s comments highlight the dramatic rise in fuel prices and the shifting sentiments of the public over time.
