The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his fourth wife, Olori Folashade, have joyfully welcomed their first child together—a baby boy.
Sharing the happy news on social media, the Ooni posted a photo of himself and Olori Folashade with the caption,
“To God be the glory, great things He has done.” He went on to congratulate the entire House of Oduduwa, noting that the new Prince hails from both the Ooni Adagba Royal Compound of Lafogido Ruling House and the Ooni Agbedegbede Royal Compound of Giesi Ruling House.
The Ooni assured that both mother and child are healthy, giving thanks to God and the spirits of their ancestors.
This joyous announcement comes just five months after the royal family welcomed a set of twins in March, born to another of the Ooni’s wives, Olori Tobiloba. The twins were officially received by the Ooni at his palace in Ile-Ife in August.
