Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Babatunde Tayo, widely known as Baba Tee, has admitted to having a “short” sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker, Ganiyu Morufu, aka Ijoba Lande.
Baba Tee made the revelation during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTokers on Sunday, contradicting his earlier denial. Initially, he had challenged Lande to provide evidence or face legal action for defamation.
Lande’s Allegations Against His Wife and Nollywood Figures
In a recent interview, Lande alleged that his wife was unfaithful and claimed that at least 21 men in the entertainment industry were involved with her. Among those he named was Baba Tee, whom he mentioned in a viral Instagram post.
Baba Tee initially refuted the allegations, stating that he had only met Lande’s wife once through actress Marygold. The 45-year-old actor explained that Marygold introduced Dara as a content creator and upcoming artist, not as Lande’s wife.
Baba Tee’s Confession: A Truth or Dare Game Gone Wrong
Recounting the events, Baba Tee stated that Marygold and Dara visited his home under the pretense of discussing an event where he would serve as an MC. He claimed that during their time together, a “Truth or Dare” game led to an unexpected encounter.
According to him, Marygold initiated the game and dared Dara to engage in a brief sexual act with him, which she accepted. Baba Tee insisted he was unaware of her marital status at the time and later realized it was a setup.
“I will not deny that I had a short sexual intercourse with her. It is the first time I am saying this. It was a setup to malign my personality,” he stated.
Public Apology to Ijoba Lande
Following the revelation, Esabod advised Baba Tee to apologize to Lande, as he had previously denied the affair and even threatened legal action.
Shortly after the interview, Baba Tee took to Facebook on Monday to express his remorse, writing:
“I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. Deep how Dara became Lande’s wife without my knowledge… Hmmm. I fear women.”
Meanwhile, Marygold, Lande’s embattled manager, has been accused of recording the incident between Baba Tee and Dara, further fueling the controversy.
