Bisola Kola-Daisi, the first daughter of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has passed away at the age of 42.
She died on Thursday morning in the United Kingdom after a brief illness, leaving behind her husband, three children, and a legacy of service, philanthropy, and entrepreneurship.
A Life of Service and Impact
Before her untimely death, Bisola served as a Special Adviser to the Minister of Budget and Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu. She was also a prominent voice in Nigeria’s luxury retail industry and an active philanthropist known for her compassion and dedication to social causes.
Bisola was married to Kolapo Kola-Daisi, a respected Ibadan-born politician and banking executive. Together, they built a family deeply rooted in public service and excellence.
Tributes Pour In
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, extended his heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, widow of the late Governor Ajimobi, describing Bisola’s death as “sad and shocking.”
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Governor Makinde also sympathized with the Kola-Daisi family and Bisola’s husband, urging both families to find strength in God during this difficult period.
Senator Sharafadeen Alli, representing Oyo South Senatorial District under the All Progressives Congress (APC), also expressed deep sorrow over the loss. In a statement issued by his media aide, Akeem Abas, the lawmaker described Bisola as a brilliant, graceful, and accomplished woman whose life of dedication and service will be missed by many.
“Her sudden departure is deeply heartbreaking. I pray that the Almighty grants her eternal rest and comforts her loved ones,” Alli said.
