Nollywood actress Dupe Jaiyesimi is currently facing backlash following her emotional podcast interview where she opened up about her failed marriage, struggles with childlessness, and her unwavering hope of becoming a mother despite her age.

While many sympathized with the actress, a woman claiming to be her younger sister, Tope Jaiyesimi, has publicly challenged some of her statements, accusing her of dishonesty and mistreatment.

“You Never Treated Us Like Family” – Tope Jaiyesimi Speaks Out

In a video currently trending on social media, Tope Jaiyesimi criticized the actress for claiming that the children she raised never showed up for her in adulthood, despite knowing she has no biological children.

Tope questioned this narrative, recalling their time living together in their grandmother’s house in Ibadan. According to her, Dupe never treated her and her siblings like family. Instead, she claimed the actress looked down on them and believed they would never amount to anything.

“How did you raise us?” Tope asked. “You never saw us as your siblings or children. If you did, you wouldn’t say the things you’re saying now.”

Allegations of Mistreatment and Emotional Abuse

Tope went further, alleging that the actress treated them like housemaids, recounting painful memories of being forced to wash her menstrual underwear and perform house chores while being treated unfairly.

“We acted like your househelps in the house we all lived together,” she said. “Every time you returned from shows, we lived in fear.”

She also accused the actress of maltreating them after their father’s death, despite being in a position of care.

Inheritance Dispute: Land and Entitlements Allegedly Sold Off

In a more serious allegation, Tope claimed that the actress sold hectares of land left behind by their late father, which was intended to support the children’s education. She also alleged that Dupe collected all the entitlements of their late father, a professor at Ajayi Crowther University, and never used the funds to support the rest of the family.

“She sold all our father’s land and collected all his benefits. A lot is on ground,” Tope said.

Actress Yet to Respond

As of the time of filing this report, Dupe Jaiyesimi has not responded to the allegations made by Tope. The story continues to spark mixed reactions online, with many waiting to hear the actress’s side of the story.
