A 34-year-old Milwaukee man, Joseph Ross, has been arrested and charged after allegedly poisoning his coworker’s soda with Gorilla Glue at their workplace on the Wisconsin State Fair Park grounds.
Ross is facing felony charges for placing foreign substances in edibles, following disturbing footage captured by the victim, identified only as JH in court documents. Suspecting foul play after repeatedly falling ill and noticing a strong chemical smell and taste in her Coca-Cola over several weeks, JH set up a hidden camera under her computer screen.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by Fox 6, the shocking footage showed Ross approaching JH’s desk and appearing to squeeze a brown/orange bottle—believed to be Gorilla Glue—into her drink.
The incident came to light on March 20 when JH flagged down police officers on patrol at the fairgrounds. She shared the incriminating video, prompting an investigation that led to a search of Ross’s desk, where authorities reportedly discovered latex gloves and a bottle of Gorilla Glue.
During questioning, Ross admitted to adding a “supplement” to JH’s drinks, a claim that legal experts believe was an attempt to mislead investigators while partially confessing.
Ross was arrested and charged on Tuesday. His bail was set at $10,000. If convicted, he could face up to 38 months in prison and a $10,000 fine.
Commissioner Andrea Bolender called the case “extremely alarming” and suggested it contained “elements of violence.” Legal analyst Craig Mastantuono described the situation as highly unusual and disturbing.
Authorities are still investigating the motive behind the alleged poisoning.
