Nollywood star Regina Daniels made a bold statement by introducing herself using only her maiden name, a move that many see as both deliberate and defiant.
In a recent video, she confidently addressed her audience, saying:
“My people, I greet you all. My name is Regina Daniels. I am from Anioma.”
Her husband, Ned Nwoko, has since responded to the viral clip—and even shared it himself. However, rather than react to her name choice, he praised her for promoting Anioma culture and tradition.

Ned Nwoko Pushes for Anioma State
Taking the opportunity to champion his long-standing vision, Nwoko emphasized that the push for an Anioma State goes beyond politics—it’s about preserving and celebrating the rich culture and heritage of the Anioma people.
In his statement, he wrote:
“This is UGEGBE ANIOMA taking Anioma culture and tradition to the next level.”
“Anioma State will not just be a political state. It will be about the culture, tradition, and what the people exemplify. We must all embrace it through fashion, music, architecture, language, food, and more.”
