The family of a British businessman who died on holiday with his 25-year-old girlfriend are demanding answers – as they say they have no idea where he was buried or how he died.

Allen McKenna, 47, collapsed in Casablanca in February, while abroad with his Moroccan girlfriend Majda Mjaoual.

Mr McKenna’s father Alan Moorhead, who lives in Adelaide in South Australia, says he received a video call from Ms Mjaoual on February 22 and could see his son’s body in the background.

He is said to have died after having a fatal heart attack, but his family were not able to get hold of a death certificate or a coroner’s report.

He was reportedly buried two days after his death before his girlfriend is said to have flown to the UK to organise his affairs – but has not said where he was laid to rest.

Now Mr McKenna‘s family are desperately trying to find out where he is buried.

‘It’s soul destroying. I don’t know where to move, I don’t know what to do,’ Mr Moorhead told 9News.

‘He deserves better. He deserves to come back here to South Australia and then all the family can have closure.

‘It’s just unbelievable. She’s not answering any messages, phone calls, texts – nothing.

‘I just want my lad back.’

Mark Parsons, a close friend, also told 9News: ‘I still don’t want it to be true… I’ll never have a friend like Allen again.’

He added: ‘It’s essential… I need to be able to have a memorial with them, a funeral, a place to go visit.’

Mr McKenna was from Harrogate but studied at the University of South Australia, and when he died was running three British companies, including a brewery.

Social media posts show that he was also into bodybuilding and appeared to compete in competitions.

Mr Moorhead has been extremely vocal on Facebook as he demands answers over his son’s death.
