Former Military Administrator of Bayelsa State and one-time Minister of Special Duties, Captain Caleb Olubolade (rtd), has passed away.
According to Leadership Newspaper, the retired naval officer reportedly slumped and died while playing lawn tennis at Apapa, Lagos, on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

How He Died
In a statement released by his children, Oluwayemisi Akinadewo and Dayo Olubolade, the family revealed that the retired officer drove himself to a tennis facility in the evening and collapsed while playing.
“Efforts were made by medical officers around to revive him to no avail,” the statement said.
He was then rushed to Obisesan Naval Medical Hospital, Apapa, where he was pronounced dead.
