Music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin has addressed the wave of criticism trailing his recent photos with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

In a bold and unapologetic response shared on social media, Ubi made it clear that he is unbothered by public backlash. His message to critics was direct:

“If you like continue to abuse me, I no still send una. I have never hidden that I am a full member of APC. People criticize you for what they will do if they were in your shoes. If I get another opportunity to meet Mr President, I’ll do it again.”

Ubi Franklin, known for managing some of Nigeria’s top talents and being vocal on national issues, recently shared photos from his visit to the Aso Rock Villa. The images sparked outrage among some Nigerians who questioned his political affiliations and motives for the visit.

But the music executive stood firm in his convictions, stating that he has never shied away from his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to him, many of those throwing stones would jump at the same opportunity if given the chance.

His comments have generated mixed reactions online — while some fans commended him for his transparency and loyalty, others remained critical, questioning the priorities of public figures in times of national hardship.

What are your thoughts is Ubi’s boldness commendable or should public figures tread more carefully in politically sensitive times? Let us know in the comments.
