President Tinubu bags a chieftaincy title in Anambra

President Tinubu bagged a chieftaincy title in Anambra during his visit to the state on Thursday, May 8.

This is the second title Mr Tinubu is collecting from Anambra, the first being in 2005, when the traditional ruler of Awka, Obi Gibson Nwosu, conferred him with the title of Omeife Awka.

He received the title in Awka, the state capital, during the president’s official visit to the state to commission projects completed by the state government under Governor Charles Soludo.

Chidubem Iweka, chairman of the Anambra state Traditional Rulers’ Council, said the title was given to the president in recognition of his good works across the country.

Dignitaries present at the event include Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser (NSA); Dapo Abiodun, governor of Ogun; Hope Uzodimma, governor of Imo; Alex Otti, governor of Abia; Peter Mbah, governor of Enugu; and Dave Umahi, minister of works.

Some of the projects inaugurated by the president are the new state government house, governor’s lodge, Solution Fun City, and Emeka Anyaoku Institute for International Studies and Diplomacy, among others.
