According to TMZ, US rapper, Nelly’s Rape case has been officially closed as the accuser refused to testify against him. Prosecutors have officials closed the rape case against Nelly, which comes just months after the victim announced her refusal to cooperate. In early October, the publication revealed the victim’s decision to refuse to testify in court, as she explained she didn’t believe she would be able to stand up to a celebrity. ⠀
Although she felt as though the system failed her, she decided to step away from the case, which in turn made it difficult for prosecutors to proceed with the case. Now, it appears that the prosecutors have called it quits on the case and will no longer pursue charges against the rapper, who was accused of raping the victim on his tour bus during a stop in Washington.
