The sad report was shared by a facebook user. He wrote:
Crisis in some part of Benin (M.M way and Igun) as Police unjustly killed a young man over 100 naira, angry youths killed one police officer and set police vans ablaze over the death of the man whose wedding is Saturday this weekend.
Nigeria police force is a disgrace to our nation….
The driver who was set to wed next week, was pushed into the path of an oncoming trailer which smashed his head by the Policeman this morning at at M.M. Way, in Benin.
The deceased’s fiancée who confirmed the report, disclosed that the incident occurred after her fiance refused giving the policeman N100, after their bus was stopped. According to her, their pleas was refused by the policeman, which led to an argument.
It was during the argument that the driver met his untimely death. It was also gathered that residents of the area, have already set some police vans on fire.
