Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have released statements confirming their rumoured split. The model, 22, and the singer, 25, took to social media tonight to confirm the end of their two year relationship. Gigi posted hers first, writing she would be ‘forever grateful’ for the time they’d spent together. The Victoria’s Secret model added that she wants ‘nothing but the best for him,’ before adding that she will ‘continue to support him has a friend’. Gigi, however, did seem to leave a small slither of hope that ‘Zigi’ will get back together, as she ended her statement writing: ‘As for the future, whatever’s meant to be will always be.’
Zayn echoed these sentiments explaining that he retains ‘a huge amount of respect and adoration’ for his ex. He added that Gigi has an ‘incredible soul’, before asking for their fans to respect their ‘difficult decision’ and ‘privacy’.
‘This is definitely the end for now, but this isn’t a bitter split and they both have respect for each other,’ the insider explained to The Sun.
