When a relationship is over, the smart thing to do is take a complete break from each other and cut off all contact. But there may be times the guy comes back into your life and you start to wonder what his motives are.

1. He contacts you consistently
Perhaps you’ve not heard from him in a while but suddenly, he feels the need to call you every day. He checks in on you multiple times a day and even finds other ways, like via social media, to connect with you. Your ex may be trying to worm his way back into your life.

2. He wants to talk about the relationship
Another one of the signs your ex wants you back is if he starts initiating conversations about the relationship. He may wax nostalgic about how great things once were or want to relieve what caused the breakup.
3. He’s curious about your love life
If he wants to get back together, he will check to see if the coast is clear. So, he will be pretty curious about your dating life. He wants to know if you’re with someone else. And if you tell him you are, he may show signs of jealousy.
4. He tries to show you he’s changed
If the breakup was his fault, he will try to show you he’s a different person now. Let’s say you ended things because he was dishonest or unfaithful, he may begin to find ways of showing you he’s now a trustworthy person.
