Nigerian duo, Ibukun Akinfenwa and Kehinde Anifowoshe, were both action for Angolan club, Primeiro D’Agosto who booked their place in the semi-final of the CAF Champions League following a hard fought 1-1 away draw against TP Mazembe of Congo Democratic Republic in Lumumbashi on Friday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Primeiro D’Agosto were held to a 0-0 draw at home in the quarter-final, first leg clash in Luanda last week and have advanced on away goal rule.
Akinfenwa started the game and was replaced in the 90th minute, while Anifowoshe came in Manuel Cafumana 14 minutes from time.
Former Enugu Rangers forward, Razak Adegbite, who is the other Nigerian at the club was an unused substitute in the game.
TP Mazembe took the lead in the 12th minute through Jackson Muleka, with Salomao Troco equalising for the visitors with a stunning free-kick in the 34th minute.
The hosts twice missed a penalty in the tension soaked but highly entertaining encounter.
D’Agosto will meet the winner of the clash between Etoile du Sahel and Esperance in the semi-final.
