Osimhen Scores 1st Career Goal In Charleroi Draw; Onazi, Nwakaeme Lose With Trabzonspor

One cap Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen scored a backheel goal in his first start for his Belgian side, Sporting Charleroi who played out a 1-1 draw away to Waasland Beveren in Pro-Division league game on Saturday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

It was Osimhen’s first league career goal since he turned professional 18 months ago.

Osimhen who is on a season loan deal from Wolfsburg in Germany scored in the 19th minute of the encounter to hand his side the lead in his third appearance.

The 19 year old was denied a chance to grab a brace, but his goal-bound header in the 76th minute was cleared off the line by a defender.

In the Italian Serie B, Simeon Nwankwo played 65 minutes for Crotone who lost 2-1 at home to Hellas Verona.

The fringe Nigeria international was replaced by Claudio Spinelli in his fourth game of the season.

In the English Championship, Semi Ajayi played the entire duration of Rotherham United’s 1-0 loss away at Nottingham Forest. It was his eighth game of the season.

In the Spanish La Liga, Kenneth Omeruo was left out of Leganes’ match day squad that lost 1-0 to Eibar.

The 24 year old Nigeria defender is yet to make an appearance for the club since he joined on a season loan deal from Chelsea.

In the Segunda division, Ramon Azeez came on for Carlos Pita in Lugo’s 2-0 win over Real Zaragoza. Azeez has made four appearances this season.

In the Scottish topflight division, Efe Ambrose played all 90 minutes for Hibernian who defeated Dundee United 3-0.

In Turkey, Ogenyi Onazi made his sixth start of the season for Trabzonspor who suffered successive defeat at home to Goztepe.

Onazi was replaced in the 83rd minute of Trabzonspor 1-0 loss while Anthony Nwakaeme was subbed on for Yusuf Yazici unbthe 74th minute of the encounter. It was his fourth game of the season.

In Albania, Nnamdi Oduamadi made his third start for Tirana who held Skenderbeu to a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
