Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has celebrated Leicester City’s impressive 2-0 away win against Newcastle United United at the James’ Park on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
Ndidi and his international teammate, Kelechi Iheanacho were on from start to finish in the encounter.
Former England forward, Jamie Vardy scored from the spot to hand the Foxes the lead in the 30th minute.
Harry Maguire put the game beyond the hosts by scoring the second goal in the 73rd minute.
Ndidi took to Twitter few hours after the game to express his happiness over their win and another clean sheet following last weekend’s 3-0 win against Huddersfield.
“Cheers ? to a win and clean sheet,” Ndido tweeted.
Ndidi and Iheanacho are expected to be named in Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double- header against Libya next month.
