Efforts are being made to locate a missing teenage girl who fled her uncle’s home in Gboko area of Benue state.
It was gathered that the 16-year-old girl identified as Ngundelen Awuapila, who speaks Tiv and English fluently – got missing last month (on the 08/09/2018) in Gboko area and is yet to be found till now.
National Helm contacted the girl’s custodian, her uncle identified as Mr. Victor Awuapila, who is heartbroken over her disappearance as he revealed that the girl didn’t have any issue with his family because he treats her well, being the daughter of his twin brother.
He also revealed that the girl took N40,000 from the room before she fled the house.
The case has been reported at the police station but the uncle disclosed that since then, the officers have not called him despite promising to do so.
