Watford striker, Isaac Success, is happy to be back in the Super Eagles squad after two years of on and off the field woes, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Success was immersed in a nasty incident in London in 2017 when he allegedly patronised hookers.
Success also battled with fitness issue which kept him out of action for both club and country, but he tells CSN that he is back to help the team secure the 2019 AFCON ticket.
“Well I’m glad to be back representing Nigeria after two years,” Success told CSN.
“It’s good to see my friends as well. For me, I don’t think it’s my performance for Watford that earned me a recall back because I think we have other talented players in Europe even greater than me.
“For me, mistakes of two years ago are in the past and they have been corrected already. I’m back to shape better than before. I’m just here to do what I have to do, and we will see where we go from here.”
The 22 years old is one of the four players returning to the squad for the crucial game against Libya in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Others are Moses Simon, Alex Iwobi, Shehu Abdullahi, and William Troost Ekong.
