I stole motorcycle for my girlfriend’s upkeep – Suspect

A suspected motorcycle thief, Sharif Audu, has admitted to stealing a Bajaj motorcycle in order to raise money for his girlfriend’s upkeep.

The 18-year-old was apprehended by a team of police detectives from Niger State Police Command after robbing one Yakubu Ndanusa of his motorcycle.

Northern City News gathered that the suspect  who is jobless, was always seen loitering around Honey Bell Hotel in Minna.

The suspect in an interview with our correspondent stated that that he stole the motorcycle to raise money to “maintain his girlfriend.”

“The desire to satisfy the needs of my girlfriend made me to steal the motorcycle. I don’t want to say no to her and that is why I can do anything to make her happy, no matter what.

“I don’t want to share her with anybody and that is why I will go the extra mile to fulfill her needs. I don’t care what it may result to, my duty is to provide what she needs before any other thing, I love her so much,” he said without remorse.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Muhammad Abubakar, confirmed that the stolen motorcycle was recovered from the suspect.

He said that the matter would be charged to court after investigation.
