Ugonna Uzochukwu has stated that he is eager to claim his first career silverware with Enugu Rangers when they take on Kano Pillars in Wednesday’s NFF/AITEO Federation cup 2018 final at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba, Delta State reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The former Olympique Club de Khouribga of Morocco star has not won a laurel since he began his career in 1998 and Uzochukwu determined to get past Kano Pillars with the Flying Antelopes as he sets his sights on the prize.
“The Aiteo FA Cup is one of my targets this year,” he told the Completesportsnigeria.com.
“I am 26 years now and I have never won silverware so I want it this year.”
“We know it is a fight against Kano Pillars every time but we did we played out a 1-1 draw this season against them in the 2018 Nigerian Professional Football League in February, so we hope we can do the win this time.”
Uzochukwu, a member of the CHAN 2014 bronze medalist squad has score five times in the competition
The midfielder who also made his senior debut for Nigeria in an international friendly against Peru in 2012, believes his new found form with Rangers will further boost his career revival.
“I’m here to get my career back on and rediscover myself.”
