You don’t rush love
Ciara advised people looking for love to be patient. “Be patient for the right moment, you don’t want to rush love,” she said.
This is an extremely important tip if you want to ensure you end up with the right person. Finding true love may not happen when you expect it to, but you must not let this push you to desperation. To avoid making a mistake, you should never rush the process.

Know what you want
In addition to being patient, you should also make sure you know exactly what you want in a partner. When you have a clear idea of what you desire, you will be able to realize quickly if someone is wrong for you.
“Be specific and clear on what you desire. When we become clear, we make better decisions versus listening to the first words somebody tells you. It always sounds good in the beginning, but what are they actually saying?”
Know when to walk away
This is one of the hardest things to do especially when you’ve dedicated a lot of time to someone. But Ciara, who had to break up with Future despite already having a son for him, knows better than anyone that moving on is sometimes necessary. If she had not gathered the courage to leave, she may not have found the happiness that she now has with Wilson.
“Sometimes, you can get discouraged when you feel like, ‘Wow, that was years of my life. What are you doing with your time?’ But the reality is, time keeps going forward.”

So yes, finding true love will sometimes mean you walk away when you know in your heart that this partner is wrong for you. The singer certainly shared some useful nuggets for anyone who wants to ensure they settle down with the right person.
