When learning how to wear a floral dress, it’s important to actually own one. Mimi’s dress is a pretty thin strap piece with laser cut floral print. The simple yet striking look is from the Belangelique store in Lagos and is one of their many lovely pieces. However, this one stands out. Why? Because it’s actually a two-piece – a thin strap bralet and a high-waisted skirt. Cute right? But the logic still applies.

To style her floral outfit, Mimi kicks things off with a Sunday-perfect look. She paired her two-piece with a striped shirt worn under the bralet. If you’re wearing a floral dress, you can wear a shirt over the dress as a jacket. For accessories, Mimi picked nude shoes and a cute bag from Reola. This version is a fabulous option if you’re off to church or a nice luncheon.

Next up, Mimi ditched the shirt and grabbed a denim jacket for the Moet Secret Garden Party. She casually hung the jacket over her shoulders (because who uses sleeves anymore) and let her print do the talking. Mimi also switched her sea green bag for a black and gold sling bag and white shoes. We love how laid back and effortless the look turned out.

For her last trick, there was no trick at all. Mimi decided to wear the two-piece as is and looked beautiful. She switched the heels for gold flats and had a casual stroll in beach sand.
